Mercedes Marcos Corona is the founder of QUINQUE, a Franco-Spanish brand that embraces a feel-good approach to beauty and aging. With a background in pharmaceutical sciences and a deep passion for skin biology, Mercedes created QUINQUE to simplify skincare for modern, urban women, uniting science, nature, and sensory pleasure.

She believes in aging gracefully , not in doing the impossible to look younger. As he often says, "Growing old is a privilege; we shouldn't fight against it."

When did the idea of ​​creating your own cosmetics brand come about?

I've always been a bit of a beauty freak , ever since the first product my mother bought me, the famous yellow Clinique soap.
After studying Pharmacy, earning a master's degree in cosmetic formulation and skin biology, and working for years in product development, I realized that, in the existing market offerings, there were no products that specifically treated the symptoms of skin inflammation. Thus, QUINQUE was born , from a personal need that ended up adapting to the needs of many other people.

What is the meaning of the name QUINQUE?

Quinque means "five" in Latin and represents the five steps I consider essential for skincare: cleansing, moisturizing, protecting, treating, and using nutricosmetics.

What distinguishes QUINQUE from other cosmetics brands?

The science behind each formula and the love with which we create each product. Furthermore, we have a 360º approach, centered on the five main steps we propose.

Today we are witnessing the growth of eco-friendly cosmetics brands. What is Quinque's position as a sustainable brand?

We would love to say that we are a completely sustainable brand, but the truth is that, being a small brand, that's practically impossible. Therefore, we make small, conscious gestures that we consider essential to caring for the environment in the best way possible. We use glass and recycled plastic packaging, and we minimize excess packaging as much as possible.

Why should everyone include QUINQUE in their beauty routine?

Because 90% of skin problems have an inflammatory component or origin, and addressing these symptoms is essential for maintaining healthy skin. At QUINQUE, we believe that the most important thing for the appearance of your skin is its health.

What is Quinque's favorite product?

Without a doubt, an eye contour mask is a product that can be used once or twice a week to hydrate and brighten this very sensitive area in a lasting way.
